Creamy Classic Mango Lassi

This Mango Lassi blends fresh mango, creamy yogurt, milk, sugar, and optional cardamom or cinnamon into a smooth, sweet, refreshing Indian beverage. It takes just 15 minutes from start to finish and can be served immediately or chilled before serving.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup diced fresh mango
  • 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • Dash of cinnamon optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom optional

Method
 

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the diced fresh mango, plain non-fat yogurt, milk, white sugar, and optional cinnamon and ground cardamom to the bowl of a blender.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Puree the mixture until it reaches a completely smooth consistency.
  3. Serve Immediately or Chill: Pour the Mango Lassi into serving glasses and serve immediately, or place it in the refrigerator to chill for 30–60 minutes before serving.
  4. Store Leftovers: Transfer any remaining Mango Lassi to an airtight container or bottle and refrigerate for up to 24–48 hours.
  5. Stir Before Serving: Before consuming refrigerated leftovers, shake or stir the lassi well to recombine the ingredients.

Notes

  • Use fresh diced mango as specified in the recipe for the intended fruity flavor and creamy consistency.
  • The cinnamon and ground cardamom are optional, so the lassi can be made without either spice.
  • Blend the ingredients until completely smooth before serving for the best texture.
