How we handle information when you browse recipes, buy a cookbook, or ask us for help.

Last updated: October 4, 2026CookLibrary · Gosemond, LLC

This policy covers cooklibrary.com and offers.cooklibrary.com. Optional marketing choices are separate from buying or downloading a cookbook.

Who we are

CookLibrary is a digital cookbook and recipe brand operated by Gosemond, LLC (“CookLibrary”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information we use to run our websites and serve our customers. Our operations and support may involve personnel in Bangladesh and service providers in other countries.

Contact us about privacy, your information, or this policy at contact@cooklibrary.com.

Information we collect

  • Purchases and support: your name, email address, selected products, order and transaction references, payment status, billing details needed for a transaction, and messages you send us.
  • Payment information: payment providers such as Stripe process card and other payment details. We receive order and payment-status information; our ordinary website content and support forms are not a place to submit full card numbers or security codes.
  • Website use: IP address, device and browser information, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location derived from technical information, and timestamps. Cookies or similar identifiers may be used as described below.
  • Optional features: information you choose to submit through forms, newsletter subscriptions, comments, reviews, or third-party reader features. Comments or reviews you publish may be visible to other visitors.

Services and recipients

We share information as needed with service providers and business partners for these purposes:

  • Funnelish: our sales funnel, checkout and order management.
  • Stripe and available payment providers: payment processing, fraud checks and transaction records. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
  • Google Drive: hosted cookbook downloads. Opening a Drive link takes you to a Google service, which is also subject to Google’s privacy policy.
  • Website hosting, WordPress tools, forms, email and support services: operation, security, communications and customer care.
  • Google Analytics and reader/social features: usage measurement and features such as Grow by Mediavine and Pinterest sharing, where available. Third-party account or feature use is also governed by the relevant provider’s terms. See Mediavine’s privacy information.
  • Meta and Pinterest advertising services, when enabled: campaign measurement, conversion reporting and relevant advertising, subject to applicable choices and consent requirements.

Providers may process information for their own purposes where their role or applicable law permits it. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, to comply with valid legal requests, to protect rights and security, or in a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.

Cookies, advertising and choices

Cookies, pixels and browser storage can support checkout sessions, payment security, download access, preferences, analytics and advertising. Our Cookie Policy describes these categories and available controls.

When Meta Pixel or Pinterest Tag is enabled, these services may receive browser and device identifiers, IP address, page or product activity, referral information and conversion details. They may associate activity with information they already hold. Disclosure to advertising partners may count as a “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even if no money changes hands.

Where these rights apply, you can request an opt-out by contacting contact@cooklibrary.com. Use cookie controls where presented and relevant provider settings. Pinterest offers personalization settings; AdChoices also provides participating-provider opt-outs. Meta offers ad preferences. Browser-level controls affect the browser or device on which you use them.

We do not require you to join an advertising audience to purchase a cookbook. We do not intentionally send payment-card details, private support messages or sensitive health information to advertising tags.

Email preferences

Order, payment, delivery and support messages are service communications. Promotional emails are separate. You can use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or contact us to withdraw marketing permission. Unsubscribing from promotions does not prevent us from sending messages needed to fulfill an order or handle a support request.

Storage, transfers and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including delivering purchases, providing support, meeting applicable recordkeeping obligations, protecting against fraud and resolving disputes. We consider the type of information, the relationship with you, legal obligations and the need to keep an accurate transaction history. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to those requirements.

Information may be processed in the United States, Bangladesh and countries where our providers operate. When applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use the relevant permitted transfer arrangements and provider safeguards. Contact us for information about a transfer affecting your data.

We use reasonable measures to protect information. No website, network or storage method can promise absolute security. Please do not email passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated sensitive documents.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the law that applies to our business, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of certain advertising-related sharing. You may object to use of your information for direct marketing. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Email contact@cooklibrary.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. Tell us the request and the email address used for your interaction. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond within the applicable legal period and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Some records must be retained for legal, security or transaction purposes. Where applicable, you may appeal a denied request by replying to our response and may complain to your local data-protection or consumer-protection authority.

Children and changes

Our purchasing services are intended for adults able to enter a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or use child-directed information for behavioral advertising. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We update this policy when practices or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. We provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent where required.

We’re here to help.
