Understanding cookies, browser storage and similar technologies across CookLibrary.
Cookies can support checkout, remember choices, measure site use or support advertising. Controls depend on the technology, browser and service involved.
What these technologies do
A cookie is a small value stored by a website in your browser. Local storage and session storage can keep similar information. Pixels and tags can send an event to a service when a page loads or an action occurs. They may process identifiers, an IP address, device information and page activity.
This policy applies to cooklibrary.com and offers.cooklibrary.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Categories of use
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Essential and transactional | Site security, checkout sessions, payment processing, fraud prevention and showing downloads associated with the current purchase. Disabling this storage may prevent checkout or download access from working. |
| Preferences and reader features | Remembering choices and providing optional reader, saved-content or social features. Third-party services may apply their own account and privacy settings. |
| Analytics | Understanding visits and technical performance, including Google Analytics where used. |
| Advertising | When enabled, Meta Pixel and Pinterest Tag can measure campaign activity and purchases and support relevant advertising. Pinterest sharing tools are distinct from the Pinterest advertising tag. |
Services used or available
Our website configuration includes Google Analytics, Grow by Mediavine reader features and Pinterest sharing tools. Checkout and payments involve Funnelish and Stripe, and cookbook folders are hosted on Google Drive.
Meta Pixel and Pinterest advertising Tag may be enabled for campaigns. Their inclusion in this policy is a disclosure of their intended purpose, not a statement that every service runs on every page or for every visitor. Non-essential advertising technologies must be configured with the consent and opt-out controls required for the visitors they serve.
Cookie names, lifetimes and behavior vary by service and configuration. Some end when a session ends; others persist until their expiry or deletion. Your browser’s site-data tools show the cookies and storage present on your device.
Your controls
- Use cookie or consent controls where presented to make or change a choice. A choice for one browser or device may not apply to another.
- Your browser settings can block, limit or delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential checkout storage may affect your purchase experience.
- Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.
- Manage relevant advertising choices in Meta ad preferences or Pinterest personalization settings. You can also use AdChoices for participating advertising providers.
- For a privacy or advertising opt-out request, email contact@cooklibrary.com.
Clearing storage can remove saved preferences as well as session information. A browser signal or provider opt-out may cover particular technologies only; contact us if you need help with a privacy request. Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all advertising.
Third-party websites and updates
Opening a Google Drive folder, a social-media service, or another external link takes you to a third-party service with its own cookie controls and privacy policy. We cannot delete cookies controlled solely by another domain through this website.
We update this policy when the relevant services or controls change. If you have questions, contact contact@cooklibrary.com.
We’re here to help.
